1992 Cutter Cachoeira 4414m

Cachoeira is a 43ft aluminum hulled full centerboard sloop, designed and build by Jean François ANDRE in 1993.  She’s a long distance cruising boat designed for extreme conditions.  All the plans and build details can be found on the site: jfandre.com. Four examples of this boat were built, including one used by the adventurer Mike HORN to so the North West passage.

Cachoeira is single chined, built from AG4 aluminum with 12mm under the waterline and 8mm above.  With a 2.2m – 1m draft from a full centerboard, she’s easy to beach.

The boat was purchase by her current owners in 1997 in Tahiti, from the builder himself.  Since, they’ve done a full world cruise including 3 years in the southern climes.

The interior has an inside helming station, deck saloon, large forward bunk (2m by 1.8m), big galley in long and an aft cabin with door and heads.  It’s a lot style and full of light, double glazed and insulated with a Dickenson stove and pulsed air heating.

The engine is an 80Hp Perkins, strong and long lasting, the service batteries are new, there is solar, wind generator and a simple set of electronics including 2 GPS, radar, VHF and AIS, depth and possibility to plug in a laptop.  There is also a full set of paper charts.  Included are many tools and items useful to repair and maintain the boat.

Cachoeira est un sloop aluminium dériveur intégral de 43 pieds dessiné et construit par Jean François ANDRE en 1993.  Programme voilier de grand voyage dans des conditions extrêmes . Tous les plans et détails de construction sont sur le site : jfandre.com. Quatre exemplaires de ce bateau naviguent actuellement ; celui-ci a fait un tour du monde, le deuxième a été choisi par le navigateur aventurier suisse Mike Horn pour effectuer les passages du Nord Est et Nord-Ouest.

Cachoeira est le seul à bouchain, avec tôle de fond en 12mm, et bordé en 8mm.  Avec un tirant d’eau 2,20m – 1m sur dériveur intégral, on le pose facilement.

Le bateau a été racheté du constructeur lui-même à Tahiti en 1997.  Depuis les mêmes propriétaires ont fait un grand tour du monde, avec 3 ans dans le grand sud.

L’intérieur : poste de barre, salon de pont,  grand lit breton à l’avant (2m par 1,80m), grande cuisine en longue et une cabine arrière fermée et toilettes WC.  Il est de style grand loft, avec une poêle cheminée Dickinson et un air pulsé.

Le moteur est un Perkins 80cv, impeccable; les batteries de service sont neuves, il y a des panneaux solaires, éolienne et un électronique simple avec 2 GPS, radar, VHF, AIS, sondeur et interface ordinateur plus une grande collection de cartes papiers.  Tout ce qui a servi à la construction du bateau reste avec l’outillage.
